These Terms and Conditions set out the basis on which Connect EPN (“we”, “us”, “our”) provides electrical, plumbing, and networking services to customers (“you”, “your”). By instructing us to carry out work, you agree to these terms.

1. Scope of services

We provide electrical, plumbing, and networking services including fault finding, repairs, minor installations, upgrades, and advisory work.

  • We do not provide design, certification, or specialist consultancy services unless agreed in writing.
  • We do not undertake structural works, asbestos-related works, or specialist surveys.
  • Informal or verbal advice is provided in good faith and does not constitute a formal professional opinion unless confirmed in writing.

2. Estimates and quotations

  • Estimates are provided in good faith and are not fixed prices unless confirmed in writing.
  • Fault-finding may reveal additional issues; further work will be discussed where reasonably practicable.
  • Quotations may be withdrawn if circumstances change or information provided proves inaccurate.

3. Access and customer responsibilities

You agree to:

  • Provide safe and reasonable access to the property and work areas.
  • Ensure pets, occupants, and belongings are managed so work can be carried out safely.
  • Inform us of known hazards, defects, or site conditions in advance.

We reserve the right to suspend or refuse work if conditions are unsafe.

4. Health, safety, and compliance

  • All work is carried out in line with applicable UK regulations and industry standards.
  • Where safety issues are identified, we may advise isolation or non-use of equipment.
  • Continuing to use equipment against advice may be unsafe and is done at your own risk.

5. Changes to work

Changes to the agreed scope of work may affect completion time and cost. We will aim to explain any changes clearly before proceeding.

6. Payment terms

  • Payment is due on completion of the work, unless otherwise agreed in writing.
  • Invoices may be issued electronically.
  • Late payment may result in additional charges or suspension of further works.
  • We reserve the right to recover reasonable costs associated with late payment.

7. Cancellations and abortive visits

  • If access is unavailable at the agreed time, an abortive visit or call-out charge may apply.
  • Reasonable notice of cancellations or rescheduling is appreciated.

8. Materials and parts

  • All supplied materials remain our property until paid for in full.
  • No responsibility is accepted for customer-supplied materials.

9. Limitation of liability

  • We will take reasonable care in carrying out our services.
  • We are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, including loss of business, data, or profit.
  • Our total liability, where applicable, is limited to the value of the work carried out.
  • Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence.

10. Existing conditions and hidden defects

  • We are not responsible for pre-existing faults or hidden defects.
  • Failures due to age, wear, or previous workmanship are excluded.
  • Any such issues identified will be reported where reasonably practicable.

11. Data protection

We process personal data in accordance with the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR) and applicable UK data protection legislation, including recent data protection reforms. We collect and use only the minimum personal information necessary to provide our services, communicate with customers, and meet legal or administrative obligations.

Further details about how personal information is collected, used, and protected are set out in our Privacy Policy, which forms part of these terms.

12. Photographs and records

  • We may take photographs for records, fault reporting, or compliance purposes.
  • Images will not be used publicly without consent unless anonymised.

13. Complaints and concerns

Any concerns should be raised as soon as possible so they can be investigated and, where appropriate, resolved promptly and fairly.

14. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and disputes are subject to the jurisdiction of the English courts.

15. Updates to these terms

These terms may be updated from time to time. The version published on our website at the time of instruction will apply.
